Terms of service
These terms apply when you use Booklie, either as a driving instructor or school with an account, or as a student booking a lesson. By using Booklie you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. About Booklie
Booklie is run by [LEGAL NAME / TRADING NAME], [ADDRESS], Ireland ("we", "us"). It gives driving instructors a booking page, a dashboard and automatic booking emails. Contact: hello@booklie.ie.
2. For students
- When you book through an instructor's Booklie page, your lesson is an agreement between you and that instructor. Booklie is not a party to it and does not provide driving lessons.
- Prices, payment, lesson content and the instructor's cancellation policy are set by the instructor. You pay the instructor directly; Booklie never takes payment.
- Please give accurate contact details so you receive your confirmation and reminder, and cancel through the link in your email if you can't make it.
- How we handle your details is explained in our privacy policy.
3. Instructor accounts
- You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information, including your school name and contact email.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account.
- Your booking link (for example book.booklie.ie/your-name) must not imitate another business or person. We may change or remove a link that does.
4. Your responsibilities as an instructor
- You are responsible for your lessons, your prices, your relationship with students, and for holding any licence, approval (such as ADI registration) and insurance you need.
- Keep your hours, lesson types and prices up to date. Students can book any time your booking page shows as free.
- Use students' details only to arrange and deliver their lessons, and handle them in line with data protection law.
- Don't use Booklie to send spam, upload unlawful content, or try to access other schools' data or disrupt the service.
5. Data processing
For students' personal data, you (the instructor) are the controller and we are your processor. We will:
- process students' data only to provide Booklie and on your documented instructions (which these terms and your settings make up);
- make sure anyone processing the data is bound by confidentiality;
- keep the data secure and tell you without undue delay about any personal data breach affecting it;
- use only the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy, and tell you before adding new ones;
- help you respond to students exercising their rights;
- delete or return the data when you close your account, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- give you the information you reasonably need to show compliance.
6. Plans and fees
- Booklie is currently free. We may introduce paid plans. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any charge applies to you, and you can close your account before then.
- Paid plans, when available, will show their price and limits on our website before you sign up to them.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Booklie running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may change or improve features. If we plan to stop the service, we will give instructors at least 60 days' notice and a way to export their bookings.
8. Liability
- Booklie is a tool for arranging bookings. We are not responsible for lessons themselves, for missed or late lessons, or for disputes between instructors and students.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, business or data. Our total liability to an instructor in any 12 months is limited to the fees they paid us in that period, or €100 if they paid nothing.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Irish law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Closing an account
You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@booklie.ie. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is used unlawfully; where reasonable, we will warn you first.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will email instructors at least 14 days before they take effect.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep any protections the law of your country gives you.
